New board appointment underpins Cullen expansion

Cullen Financial Planning continues to consolidate its position as one of the North West’s leading independent financial planning consultants, with the board appointment of director, Shaun Moran (42).

A highly experienced professional with over 20 years in the financial services industry, Shaun joins from Friends Provident in Manchester, where, as IFA sales manager, he was responsible for the North West regional team of broker consultants.

As an integral part of the management team at Stockport-based Cullen, Shaun will play a leading role in the expansion and development of the company into one of the region’s leading IFA’s. He will be responsible for the recruitment and management of Cullen’s team of independent financial advisors, as well as overseeing relationships with key clients and referrers and new business development.

Commenting on the appointment, Cullen’s managing director Andrew Tyler said: “Shaun joins at a very important time for the company as we focus on the continued expansion and development of our IFA offer. His considerable management skills and his strong track record in sales will play a vital role in our growth.”

Shaun added: “After almost 15 years with a listed financial services group, this opportunity to be involved with a successful and ambitious regional consultancy, presents a new and exciting challenge.”

A successful sportsman, Shaun from Nantwich in Cheshire is a veteran of three lacrosse world cup tournaments which included him captaining England in the 1990 finals in Australia. Today he is a keen tri-athlete, continuing to compete in various local and regional events.
